Job Title: Fire Extinguisher Technician

Ignite Recruitment Services is seeking a skilled Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishing appliances in residential and commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys to ensure safety and compliance with British Standards and legislation.
  • Servicing portable firefighting equipment in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Use basic numeracy skills to calculate floor areas, travel distances, and complete arithmetic tasks.
  • Safely handle pressure vessels weighing up to 20kg each.
  • Manage van stock and ensure relevant paperwork is submitted to replenish stock.
  • Use mobile PDA device correctly and report faults to line manager.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is completed and shared with line manager.
Requirements:
  • BAFE certified in fire extinguisher technician diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in servicing and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers.
  • Knowledge of British Standards and legislation related to fire safety.
