Blatchford is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Engineering Projects. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of project managers and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver technical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Provide functional management and guidance to project managers, ensuring the successful execution of technical projects.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and functional leaders to develop project plans, define project scope, and establish realistic budgets.
  • Team Development: Recruit, develop, and coach a team of professional project managers, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Project Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for product development projects, ensuring business contributions are well-controlled.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in medical device development, including leadership roles in all phases of product development.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of direct management and leadership experience.
