Job Title: Director of Engineering Projects

Blatchford is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Engineering Projects to lead our cross-functional engineering teams in delivering innovative medical devices. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for managing the execution of technical deliverables and driving projects through our stage gate framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small team of Project Managers and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver technical projects.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach the Engineering Project Management team to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver projects.
  • Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for product development projects to ensure business contributions are well-controlled.
  • Manage project risk and develop mitigation plans to ensure fiscal and commercial compliance.
Requirements:
  • BSc or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in medical device development, including leadership roles in all phases of product development.
  • Demonstrated experience of direct management and leadership experience.
