Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our management structure, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of our health and safety, fire safety, and security services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist expertise to staff at all levels on health and safety, fire safety, security, and violence prevention and reduction.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Investigate security and health and safety incidents, identifying learning and remedial actions.
- Manage budgets for services, ensuring expenditure remains within agreed limits.
- Line manage the Health and Safety Team, including appraisal and development of team members.
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in Management and previous experience within Support Services in a healthcare environment.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- Relevant qualifications in security management and in violence, prevention and reduction.
- Proven track record of delivering operational health, safety, and security services at managerial level for a significant period of time.
