Health and Safety Manager

As a Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in our sites and regions. Your primary responsibility will be to manage your team onsite, while collaborating with other teams across the company to ensure compliance with local Health and Safety legislation. You will also be responsible for analysing data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information they need to make safety-related decisions. Additionally, you will provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies, and drive programmes designed to improve the safety culture in Amazon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your team onsite, while regularly collaborating with other teams across the company
- Analyse data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information they need to make safety-related decisions

A Day in the Life:
This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You will also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level
- Relevant experience managing a team
- Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. However, experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies, qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability, and relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership, are highly valued.
