About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Delivery Director to join our team at Jacobs, a leading provider of professional, technical, and construction services. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operational delivery of all projects and programmes across our NNEP framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of all projects within the NNEP programme, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget or better.
  • Ensure successful leadership of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring appropriate resources are available and fully trained to carry out their tasks.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the programme, managing them out and reporting on them when required.
  • Own the overall quality and safety delivery of NNEP.
  • Seek out areas of improvement within delivery, aiming to achieve safer, faster, and more cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Track and report on programme delivery milestones and project status to NNEP leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies across programme workstreams.
Requirements
  • Demonstrably significant experience of major programme delivery across a number of programmes of values of £100s of millions of pounds, preferably including international.
  • Exceptional leadership and behavioural management qualities, with proven experience of leading change and building multi-disciplinary project and programme teams.
  • Experience of managing and leading large multi-disciplinary teams in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding and experience of NEC and different contract forms, including working knowledge of public sector contracts.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Project Management, with an in-depth knowledge of agile and other methodologies.
  • Proven experience of end-to-end programme delivery, with excellent knowledge and understanding of design and construction in a highly technical environment, preferably in contractor and/or programme delivery partner roles.
  • Strong planning skills, together with the flexibility and resilience required to maintain momentum of delivery of projects.
