Job Title: Associate Qc Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate QC Scientist to join our team at Immunocore. As a key member of our Research team, you will be responsible for providing focused bioinformatics support to our scientists, conducting bioinformatics analysis, and developing tools to enable data integration and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide bioinformatics support to Research teams, including data analysis, pipeline development, and tool creation.
  2. Conduct bioinformatics analysis to draw insights from publicly available and experimental data.
  3. Process datasets through proprietary analysis pipelines and align sample metadata to enable harmonization across multiple studies.
  4. Develop apps and tools to provide scientists with easy access to integrated data from multiple sources.
  5. Support in-house sequencing experiments, including experimental design, quality control, and data analysis.
  6. Maintain and increase technical knowledge in relevant fields through self-study, observation, and training.
  7. Operate in accordance with Immunocore's Health and Safety policies.

Requirements:

  1. Competent coding abilities in R/BioConductor or Python, with experience in Linux OS and shell scripting.
  2. Proven programming ability and experience in presenting scientific findings to internal and external audiences.
  3. Understanding of molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, or related discipline.

Desirable:

  1. Background in running NGS or single-cell analysis pipelines.
  2. Experience in developing databases, using SQL, and pairing with user-friendly interfaces.
