Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Scientist to join our team at Immunocore. As a key member of our Research team, you will be responsible for providing focused bioinformatics support to our scientists, conducting bioinformatics analysis, and developing apps and tools to facilitate data integration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide bioinformatics support to Research teams, including data analysis and pipeline development.
  2. Conduct bioinformatics analysis to draw insights from publicly available and experimental data.
  3. Develop apps and tools to facilitate data integration and visualization.
  4. Support management of analytical data and maintain technical knowledge in relevant fields.
Requirements

Essential:

  1. Competent coding abilities in R/BioConductor or Python, with experience in Linux OS and shell scripting.
  2. Proven ability to present scientific findings and papers to internal and external audiences.
  3. Understanding of molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, or related discipline.

Desirable:

  1. Background in running NGS or single cell analysis pipelines.
  2. Experience in developing databases, using SQL or similar, and pairing with a user-friendly interface.
