About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Assistant Principal to join our senior leadership team at Harris Academy Merton. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies, managing staff, and contributing to the overall success of the academy.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Leadership and Management:

  • Leading the planning, development, and evaluation of teaching and learning programs
  • Managing and supporting staff to achieve outstanding results and improve student outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives

Teaching and Learning:

  • Developing and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure high-quality education for all students

Support and Development:

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on student progress, attendance, and other relevant data
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience
