Hydraulic Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our team at the forefront of innovative engineering solutions for the Marine industry. Our company utilises cutting-edge, fast-paced development experience to create world-leading products that redefine the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry.
  2. Design and specification of hydraulic systems from producing schematics to 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.
  3. Produce documentation and calculations to support designs.
  4. Modelling of hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for validation of systems.
  5. Develop and test hydraulic systems.
  6. Supplier selection and management.
  7. Commissioning and technical support for vessels.
  8. Produce documentation and calculations to support designs.

Requirements:

  1. Higher education within a Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, control systems, or related field.
  2. NFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (this could be provided for a suitable candidate).
  3. Strong understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components.
  4. Understanding of Mechanical systems.
  5. Experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.
  6. Experience in creation of hydraulic schematics.
  7. Strong experience with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  8. Ability to work safely and effectively with hands-on tasks.
  9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  11. Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional team members.
