Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and expert practitioner in Safeguarding work, able to conduct child safeguarding investigations and collaborate with multiple agencies. They will work collaboratively with children, families, volunteers, and employees in the Army Cadets, and those representing other agencies, including Social Services and Police.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work in a child-centred way, promoting the wellbeing and safeguarding of children above other factors.

• Act as a point of contact out of office hours for safeguarding disclosures, concerns, and referrals, providing experienced advice and guidance.

• Handle a caseload of safeguarding cases, completing enquiries and making child-centred decisions.

• Make referrals to the Disclosure and Barring Service or equivalents when necessary.

• Lead cases across a wide geographical area, working collaboratively with multiple agencies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Safeguarding work, with experience in conducting child safeguarding investigations and collaborating with multiple agencies. They will be confident in their ability to work in a child-centred way and provide experienced advice and guidance to others.
