At The Calico Group, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Finance to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production of accurate and timely management information to stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed with timely financial information in relation to operations.
  • Develop and improve existing management information to enhance the understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the financial impact of decisions.
  • Set and monitor budgets, and improve finance systems and processes to ensure adequate financial controls are in place.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and support the delivery of annual statutory accounts.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop financial information and provide strategic guidance to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with a strong understanding of the challenges facing charities and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Substantial accountancy experience within a similar environment, including the production of management accounts.
  • Experience of working with operational teams to develop financial information and experience in budget setting and financial forecasting.
