We are seeking a skilled Market Data Analyst to join our team at Mondrian Alpha, a leading Hedge Fund consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing market data processes and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Desk Operations: Provide close support to our desk on market data-related issues, manage BAU activities, and handle small projects to meet broader business needs.
- Process Improvement: Propose new processes, tools, and approaches to solve business problems and enhance user experiences.
- Functional Specifications: Define new functionality required by projects across front, middle, and back offices.
- Issue Investigation: Investigate complex functional software issues, perform root cause analysis, and establish effective solutions.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, flagging major issues early.
- On-Call Participation: Participate in on-call rotations until 11pm CET (Mon-Fri) one day out of five.
- Financial Market Experience: Previous experience with financial market domain companies such as funds, investment banks, brokers, market infrastructure, and data/platform vendors.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in SQL and data interrogation, with hands-on experience in Python. Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities.
- Asset Class Knowledge: Experience with different asset classes (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives) and a solid understanding of their features and life cycle.
- Market Data Systems: Familiarity with market data systems and financial data providers like Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P, etc.
