Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our shared services IT division in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing secure systems, staying ahead of emerging threats, and translating complex security measures into clear instructions for technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct threat assessments of IT solution designs and determine associated cybersecurity risks.
- Design and implement cybersecurity controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Review and assess IT and cybersecurity control changes.
- Identify and prepare solutions to mitigate emerging risks.
- Conduct periodic audits of cybersecurity control architectures.
- Develop cybersecurity policies to meet business objectives.
- Establish cybersecurity standards and non-functional requirements.
- Assess threats to new and existing deployments using industry standards and adversary emulation techniques.
- Provide inputs for crisis management plans and information security management systems.
- Participate in cybersecurity drills and review security standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems Management, or equivalent field.
- Appropriate certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
- Proven background in a similar Cyber Security Architect role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, NIST Cyber Security Framework, and NCSC Cyber Security guidance.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations, IT security controls, and security tools and technologies.
- Experience in performing security control assessments using established industry frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, mentor, and provide guidance on cloud security.
