Job Title: Assistant Headteacher and SENCo

Permanent Deputy Head of School / Headteacher, job vacancy, Dorset.

  • Full-time, 40-hours per week, Term Time Only.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Headteacher and SENCo to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will support the Head of School and be responsible for SENDCO.

  • Recruitment and developing policies to implement.
  • Leading meetings and communicating the school's vision effectively.
  • Curriculum, progress, achievement, and qualifications, and personal development of pupils.
  • Leadership and Management.
  • Lead Teaching and Learning and behaviour and attendance.

Requirements
  • A recognised teacher training qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/QTS or QTS/Teaching Diploma).
  • National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinator (NASENCO) or within 18 months of starting the position.
  • Thorough knowledge of the curriculum and adaptation to pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
  • Experience of working and teaching young people with ASD and an SEN Environment.
