We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Banbury. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with our experienced teaching staff to deliver high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, supporting students across various year groups, and helping to identify areas where additional support may be needed.\
  • Lead small group interventions or 1:1 support sessions to help pupils who require extra assistance with literacy, numeracy, or other subjects.\
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils who require additional assistance, working closely with class teachers to tailor support and ensure inclusivity.\
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparing resources, and marking work as required to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for all students.\
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and identifying areas where further support may be needed.\
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils, adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a safe and secure learning environment.\

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a teaching assistant or HLTA in a primary school setting.\
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and ability to differentiate learning for various abilities.\

  • A passion for education and commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.\
  • Patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm to support children with diverse needs and abilities.\
