Job Overview
Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Design Director to lead our design team in Cambridge. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of talented Mechanical Design Engineers, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mechanical designs that meet customer and business requirements.

About the Role
The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with a proven track record in mechanical design and team management. They will also possess strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management, and design for manufacture (DFM). Additionally, they will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
The Mechanical Design Director will oversee the creation of detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation, while driving innovation and continuous improvement in design processes and practices. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Furthermore, they will provide technical guidance and mentorship to design team members and report on design activities and project progress to senior management.

What We Offer
