About the Job: Cambridge/Somerville WIC has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and professional WIC Program Specialist to join our team working under CHA. As a key member of our Health Improvement Team (HIT), you will be responsible for assessing health status, determining priorities, building action plans, and providing leadership around health issues that impact the community. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers, residents, community-based organizations, and city leadership to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective nutrition programs and services for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under 5.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and high-quality care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in public health nutrition, nutrition, foods and nutrition, or nutrition education OR Master's degree in public health nutrition, nutrition, or food and nutrition if Bachelor's degree is not in the related field.
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Dietitians and Nutritionists, desired.
  • Three years' experience in clinical or community nutrition, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
