This platform enables rapid remediation of potential exposures, providing a comprehensive security validation solution.

About the Role

Picus is seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Product Marketing to play a critical role in shaping the company's positioning and go-to-market strategy. As a key member of the marketing team, this individual will be responsible for building the company's market presence, developing a keen point of view, and executing a dedicated analyst relations strategy in a dynamic and competitive market.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem, with specific expertise in automated pentesting, BAS, EDR/XDR, SIEM, RVBM, and Vulnerability Management. They will possess a proven track record of collaboration with product management to create messaging that resonates in the market, as well as experience working with sales leadership and technical teams to translate key differentiators into sales enablement outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Marketing: Define a category and own every word of the message. Deliver crisp and differentiated positioning and messaging that continues to evolve alongside the platform and market position.
  • Be an Authority on the Market: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitive intelligence, and the cybersecurity landscape to identify areas for growth and keep the team on the bleeding edge of the competitive market.
  • Partner with Sales as a Trusted Advisor: Work closely with sales and technical teams to refine the value proposition. Ensure the delivery of high-quality assets, training, and partner content. Deliver sales enablement, sales plays, and objection handling tools sets that motivate and arm the team to win.
  • Lead Analyst Relations Program and Strategy: Work closely with product management and the CTO/Co-founder to deliver a vision that is recognized by key analysts and earns inclusion in upcoming publications.
  • Drive Focus and Understanding Company-Wide of the ICP and Core Differentiators: Champion customer data and define ICPs and personas. Empower Growth, SDR, and Sales teams so they can target and operate cohesively.
  • Own Product Launch Strategy: Proactively plan and time product launch roadmaps to deliver timely and informed product announcements that keep Picus at the forefront of the market. Lead cross-functionally to ensure alignment and go-to-market success.
  • Mentor and Lead a Team: Act as a player-coach leading a small team responsible for Product Marketing, Analyst Relations (AR), Customer Marketing, and References to deliver core product marketing deliverables and offer clear goals and OKRs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B cybersecurity software product marketing
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem, with specific expertise in automated pentesting, BAS, EDR/XDR, SIEM, RVBM, and Vulnerability Management
  • Progressive growth over the course of your career, previous management experience, and proven success in managing key initiatives
  • Demonstrated collaboration and alignment with product management to create messaging that resonates in the market
  • Experience working with sales leadership and technical teams to translate key differentiators into sales enablement outputs
  • Communication and presentation mastery that is easy to consume and engages customers, prospects, and sales teams
  • Very strong writing and storytelling skills, specifically the ability to distill complex product capabilities into a simple and compelling narrative that delivers on the unique value
  • Proactive and inquisitive nature, with problem-solving skills that can lead teams through cybersecurity start-up challenges
