The Role

The Senior Marketing Strategist will play a crucial role within the broader EMEA marketing team. This position is essential for managing the flagship brand in the portfolio, enhancing customer relationships, crafting effective marketing strategies, and launching new products to strengthen the brand's presence.

As a Senior Marketing Strategist, you will collaborate with the UK Senior Leadership Team and counterparts across Europe to define product and brand strategies within the retail sector. You will mentor and develop two direct reports and one to two indirect reports.

Internally, you will be a vital partner to the Global Brand Development Team, working closely with UK Brand Teams and the Ireland Brand Activation team. You will oversee pricing strategies, product portfolios, and campaign management from inception to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving growth for this priority brand across the UK and Ireland while ensuring exceptional execution in line with the new global operating model.
  • Taking full accountability for achieving in-year P&L and market share targets, as well as shaping local plans for Year 2 and Year 3, guided by the Global Brand Development Team.
  • Collaborating with Global segment leads and the EMEA Deployment Leader to ensure excellence in brand execution in the UK and Ireland, including integrated business planning, media strategies, data-driven marketing, and joint business planning with retail partners.
  • Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to communication and commercial innovation strategies.
  • Leading media planning and digital-first initiatives across the UK and Ireland.
  • Activating content and communication strategies while gaining deep insights into consumer behavior.
  • Working with commercial teams to address challenges and develop unique plans to drive category growth with key retail partners.
  • Utilizing analytical skills to identify and size commercial and innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Developing and mentoring direct reports.

Your Background:

We seek self-driven, energetic, and ambitious marketing professionals with a passion for brands and delivering top-tier product activation to consumers.

Experience in Strategic Brand Management is essential, with a proven track record of success in a complex, matrixed environment. This role offers rapid promotion potential, as evidenced by the previous two incumbents advancing to Director-level positions.

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, along with brand management experience in an FMCG context.
  • Essential people management experience, with a focus on coaching and talent development.
  • Experience in developing and executing content and communication strategies, including media planning, data-driven marketing, and a comprehensive understanding of customer and retailer needs.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management.
