Job Overview:

We're seeking a skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Stoneacre Toyota Sunderland. As a key member of our One Toyota Business Centre operation, you'll play a crucial role in identifying, qualifying, and engaging with businesses in the local market area to supply a full range of One Toyota products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage every aspect of the One Toyota Business Centre operation, ensuring revenue maximization across all available channels while keeping costs to a minimum.
  • Lead a team of professionals, motivating and supporting them to deliver results for the business. This includes recruiting, training, reviewing, and engaging your team to promote the Toyota brand through role modelling 'The Toyota Way'.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting and month-end submissions.
  • Identify target sectors and geographical areas to focus outbound activity.
  • Engage in regular prospecting using a multi-channel approach to market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to identify, develop, and activate digital, physical, and experiential marketing activities.
  • Attend networking meetings to grow the opportunity pipeline.
  • Present professionally to customers in various formats (physical, digital, or phone) in a consultative manner.
  • Ensure prospects and customers have a cohesive contact strategy to maximize the One Toyota opportunity and build long-term relationships.
  • Utilize Fleet CRM and internal DMS systems to inform conversations with customers.
  • Update CRM details and add prospects and activities in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Group to identify referral opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication with One Toyota Fleet team members at Toyota and Lexus GB.

Requirements:

  • People management experience.
  • Experience working in a B2B sales environment.
  • Previous automotive experience is preferable but not essential.
  • A good general education, including GCSE English and Maths, and ideally A-Levels or equivalent qualifications.

Essential Criteria:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility to work hours required to carry out the role effectively and travel to training sessions.

Earning Potential: Approximately £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
