About the Role
NHS England is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communications and Engagement Manager to join our team in the South East. As a key member of our regional team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality engagement and communications services for our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert engagement and communications advice and support to the region on all aspects of their business
- Develop and implement effective engagement and communications strategies to support the region's statutory and formal responsibilities
- Work closely with systems and providers to create learning opportunities and share best practice and insight
- Manage local media inquiries and campaigns, and maintain excellent contacts and relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Training or significant work-based experience in project management or supporting change management
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, delivering against competing priorities and deadlines while also directing the work of teams/individuals
- Experience of managing complex media enquiries and stakeholder issues in a communications role
- Good understanding of varied communication channels, their impact, limitations, risks, and opportunities, and good experience in their use
