Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Transformation Unit as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the DVT Service.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and management of DVT and anticoagulation issues. They will work collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies to develop services and improve the quality of care delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-standard specialist care in accordance with individual needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care pathways for patients with suspected and/or proven DVT.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop services and improve the quality of care delivered.
- Participate in the education and development of other staff.
- Provide a comprehensive DVT/PE follow-up clinic on a daily basis.
- Current Registration with NMC First-level nurse RGN.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Mentorship or teaching qualification.
- Clinical Examination skills at masters level.
- Evidence of relevant recent professional development.
- Leadership course.
- Intermediate Life support training (ILS).
- Clinical diagnostic skills at minimum of degree level.
- Management course or qualification.
- Able to work as part of a team and make decisions autonomously when necessary.
- IT literate.
- Able to demonstrate leadership and constructively challenge.
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously.
- Clinically credible and confident.
- Possess a current driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
- Flexible and adaptable to work across 7-day week.
- Able to influence and negotiate.
- Able to build effective relationships that engage and support individuals and teams in change.
- Able to support and motivate staff.
