Job Summary

Peter Vardy Ltd, a dynamic and fast-paced business in the motor retailing industry, is seeking a skilled Payroll Assistant to join its head office Finance team on a part-time permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in all payroll administrative tasks, including data entry, processing, and reconciliation.
  • Gather and track all payroll changes from HR, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with tasks related to running the monthly payroll, including submission of pension deduction data to the Company's pension provider.
  • Process court orders, mortgage references, Child Support Agency questionnaires, and statutory payments such as maternity, paternity, parental leave, and SSP.
  • Maintain and review the payroll inboxes, dealing with or escalating colleague queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other ad hoc requests as required.

Requirements

  • Previous payroll experience is essential.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are essential, with advanced skills preferred.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new processes and systems.
  • Experience handling high-volume complex payrolls and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
