Job Description:

The Service Advisor is a key role in our dealership, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the service department. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, building rapport and understanding their service and repair requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate estimates for servicing and repairs, ensuring customers are fully aware of costs and timescales involved
  • Schedule work to meet customer requirements, taking into account workshop utilization targets, job complexity, and parts availability
  • Encourage the sales of genuine parts and accessories, acting on opportunities to sell additional products and services
  • Agree vehicle delivery/collection or loan car arrangements, ensuring customers are happy with the vehicle
  • Coordinate workshop activity to deliver agreed work, liaising with After Sales to order parts and notify customers on arrival
  • Update customer database to maintain accurate records of work carried out and aid future prospecting
  • Assess and record warranty claims as per manufacturer's requirements
  • Update customers on progress and check satisfaction on completion
  • Invoice customers on completion of work, reviewing invoices with customers as necessary

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and work as part of a team
  • Computer literacy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Packages and CDK computerized system
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility to work alternate Saturdays
  • Previous customer service and service advisor experience in the automotive industry
