Carmichael UK is currently seeking an experienced Geomatics Specialist to join their team on a major infrastructure project based in Brackley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying and be proficient in utilizing specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners.


The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking land/topographic/hydrographic/measured building surveys and analyzing data using plans, maps, charts, and software like AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, and GIS programs. They will also prepare survey drawings with the Senior Land Surveyor, present data to clients, and write reports.


Key responsibilities will include coordinating with Site Engineers for project implementation, changes of plans or deviations, and unusual activities or non-conformances rectification work. The candidate will also be responsible for managing the registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data, GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control.


The successful candidate will have a HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent, and experience within a similar role and with similar values. They will also possess expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers, excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings, and good communication skills.
