About the Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We're seeking a Land Surveyor to support the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking land/topographic/hydrographic/measured building surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology. You will analyze data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and GIS programs.

Your duties will include preparing survey drawings with the Senior Land Surveyor, presenting data to clients, and writing reports. You will also coordinate with Site Engineers for project implementation, changes of plans, and deviations, as well as coordinate with consultants for Inspection & Approval.

Key skills and qualifications include a HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent, experience within a similar role, and expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers. Excellent AutoCAD skills and good communication skills are also essential.

  • Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Good communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Center.
