About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Consulting Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of decarbonizing buildings across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of design work for high-profile projects, ensuring timely submissions and high-quality outputs.
  • Manage a section of the Electrical Design team, providing guidance and support to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop technical specifications, calculations, electrical designs, and drawings for a variety of projects.
  • Produce electrical building service designs, including lighting and alarm systems, as well as power cable calculations and C&I cabling specifications.
  • Support initial project conceptual work, including site investigations, surveys, client meetings, project submissions, and presentations.
  • Assist in the compilation and production of design documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and legislative standards.
  • Carry out relevant equipment selection for projects and assist in specifying electrical aspects for tendering works.
Requirements
  • 6+ years' experience producing electrical designs for Power Generation, Power Transmission, Renewable Energy, Building Services, or similar projects.
  • Education to HND/HNC or Degree level in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and relevant CIBSE electrical standards.
  • Experience with Amtech design software (an advantage).
  • A full UK driving licence.
