About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect Lead to join our team at NatWest, where you will play a critical role in shaping the bank's technology strategy and driving digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the end-state architecture for Debt Management and Bereavements end-to-end service, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall technology strategy.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including technology and business stakeholders, to create a shared understanding of technology considerations and develop a roadmap of activity to address priority areas.
  • Translate architecture roadmaps into actionable packages of work, enabling frequent incremental delivery of value to the product backlog.
  • Develop and maintain architecture models, roadmaps, standards, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with adjacent and higher-level models.
  • Collaborate with business owners, portfolio managers, product managers, and release managers to define the target intentional architecture.
  • Lead complex and technically challenging architectural transformations, coordinating design and platform teams across domains.
  • Drive the innovation and exploration of new technologies and capabilities, fostering adaptive design and engineering practices to drive collaboration across programmes and teams.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of application architecture, with at least one business, data, or infrastructure architecture discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to colleagues across business and technology areas, up to senior leadership level.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience working in an Agile team.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and implementing solutions in a highly regulated debt management environment.
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors in a debt management environment.
  • Experience defining business and application architectures and roadmaps for complex enterprises.
  • Understanding of commercial considerations and implications on architecture and solution choices.
  • Understanding of industry architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
  • Knowledge of change delivery, with preferred experience of programme delivery.
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.
