Enterprise Data Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our team at Transamerica Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of data services and assisting our organization with defining and supporting wider data programs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Shape and Validate Technical Data Vision: Collaborate with the CTO Management Team to shape and validate our organization's technical data vision and develop plans and roadmaps to deliver new capabilities.
  2. Define Strategies and Methodologies: Define strategies and methodologies to address the constant evolution of our Data Platform, including analytics, databases, data warehouses, integration technologies, and data streams.
  3. Translate Business Requirements: Translate business requirements into data capabilities, including analytics, databases, data warehouses, integration technologies, and data streams.
  4. Create Technical Capabilities: Create the underpinning technical capabilities to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  5. Analyze and Define Enterprise Data Architecture: Analyze, plan, and define the Enterprise Data Architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, master data, and governance.
  6. Provide Architectural Support: Provide architectural support to the CTO with capability selections/designs for data workflow support systems.
  7. Collaborate with Other Teams: Collaborate with other teams to devise and implement data strategies, design models, and assess business needs and goals.
  8. Develop Standards and Patterns: Develop standards, patterns, and reference architecture for application programming interfaces (APIs), data pipelines, and integrations.
  9. Demonstrate Technology Risks: Demonstrate technology risks for the data domain, including vendor lifecycles and required change initiatives.
  10. Work with IT and Business Architects: Work closely with other IT Architects and Business Enterprise Architects to deliver solution design artifacts.

Requirements

  1. Extensive Experience: Extensive experience in architecture, enterprise roadmaps, analytics, cloud, IT strategies, innovation, SAFe, TOGAF, and data integration concepts.
  2. Recognized Expertise: Recognized as a top-level expert in the data domain.
  3. Cloud-Based Data Experience: Demonstrable experience with Cloud-based data and integration platforms.
  4. Business and IT Initiatives: Experience of planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
  5. Data Analytics and Integration: Experience of data analytics, data integration technologies, and using data visualization tools.
  6. Data Modelling and Governance: Experience of defining data modelling and governance capabilities.
  7. Collaboration with External Providers: Experience of working collaboratively with key external IT providers.
  8. Asset Management Industry: Experience of the asset management or investment management industry is desired.
