About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Band 5 Practice Nurse to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a Primary Healthcare Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist primary care to patients, considering their safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment, screening, and advice to patients within your professional competence.
  • Undertake preventative health programmes, such as travel and vaccination clinics, new patients screening, and audiometry.
  • Undertake technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients with complex healthcare needs.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Professional/clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level.
  • Registered Nurse with live registration on Part 1 Subsection 1 (RN1/RN(A)) of the UK NMC register.
  • Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • A United Kingdom (UK) Driving Licence is required.
