Forensic Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing expert patient-centred services to individuals in custody. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and care for detainees, providing a high level of medical care and support.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in acute medical healthcare and will be qualified as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic. You will be passionate about working in forensic healthcare and will have a strong commitment to providing holistic and trauma-informed care.
As a Forensic Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with the police and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive service to detainees. You will be responsible for collecting forensic samples, conducting referrals, and delivering substance misuse therapies. You will also be required to work in a dynamic and lively environment, with no two days the same.
