Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Band 5 Practice Nurse to join our Primary Health Care team at Abingdon Medical Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary healthcare nursing services to our patients.

Main Duties

As a successful candidate, you will work as part of a dynamic primary healthcare team, leading the delivery of primary healthcare nursing services, including elements of occupational health. You will be responsible for providing specialist high-quality person-centred primary care, considering patients' safety, privacy, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist high-quality person-centred primary care, considering patients' safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Being responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening, and advice to patients within your professional competence and in accordance with Defence Medical Services clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Providing safe, evidence-based, efficient, and individualized patient care.
  • Undertaking preventative health programmes such as travel and vaccination clinics, new patients screening, audiometry.
  • Undertaking technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients with complex/specialist healthcare needs.

Requirements

  • Professional/clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level.
  • Registered Nurse with live registration on Part 1 Subsection 1 (RN1/RN(A)) of the UK NMC register.
