About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safeguarding Specialist Nurse to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Adult Eating Disorders Service, you will play a vital role in improving access and quality of care for individuals with eating disorders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for gate-keeping referrals, ensuring effective assessment, care planning, and review of patient care and treatment. You will also liaise with the provider collaborative regarding specialist out-of-area eating disorder placements and inpatient providers.

Main Duties
  • Provide expert advice and support to referrers and patients
  • Develop and implement care plans in line with EPUT CPA policy and procedure
  • Liaise with local services and carers to ensure seamless care coordination

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in mental health nursing, preferably with experience in eating disorders. Essential qualifications include a degree-level qualification and evidence of continuing professional development. Desirable qualifications include a management qualification.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of community mental health services, eating disorders, and safeguarding issues. They will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to patients and their families.
