We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading and managing a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our neonatal services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the NICU, including staff rotas, resources, and competencies.
- Develop and implement education and training programs for nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of our neonatal services, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RSCN/Child Branch) with a Specialist Neonatal Qualification.
- Proven experience in managing a ward, including staff management, resource allocation, and competency development.
- Substantial experience in neonatal intensive care nursing, with a strong understanding of family-centered care and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate specialist care delivered to patients, and provide relevant advice and information to patients and relatives.
