Design Support Role

IA Interior Architects is seeking a skilled Design Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will work closely with senior designers and project managers to provide design support and contribute to the development of interior design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop design ideas and concepts
  • Provide a preliminary review of engineering drawings to ensure they align with the design solution
  • Develop preliminary space plans at a high level, under the supervision of senior designers
  • Research and collect details for furniture and finishes cost estimates
  • Assist senior staff with verification of site details to support design
  • Assist in field surveying of client spaces
Requirements
  • Graduate of an architecture, interior architecture, or interior design program
  • ~3-5 years of related work experience
  • ~3+ years' experience in corporate workplace and hospitality interior design projects (a plus)
  • Experience working on projects in the UK and/or EU
  • Advanced Revit abilities
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite abilities
  • Detailed experience of concept design and familiarity with suppliers
  • Must be in the office at least 3 days a week
Desirable Skills
  • Working knowledge of the range of design principles and aesthetics
  • Familiarity with space planning methodology
  • Intermediate sketching and rendering skills
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes, and accessibility requirements
