Design Support Specialist

IA Interior Architects is seeking a talented Design Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of high-performance, visually compelling, and sustainable environments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop design ideas and concepts
  • Provide a preliminary review of engineering drawings to ensure they align with the design solution
  • Develop preliminary space plans at a high level, under the supervision of senior designers
  • Research and collect details for furniture and finishes cost estimates
  • Assist senior staff with verification of site details to support design
  • Assist in field surveying of client spaces
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an architecture, interior architecture, or interior design program
  • ~3-5 years of related work experience
  • ~3+ years' experience in corporate workplace and hospitality interior design projects
  • Advanced Revit abilities
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite abilities
  • Detailed experience of concept design and familiarity with suppliers
  • Must be in the office at least 3 days a week
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of the range of design principles and aesthetics
  • Familiarity with space planning methodology
  • Intermediate sketching and rendering skills
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes, and accessibility requirements
