The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Letchworth. As a key member of our branch team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, growing branch sales and margins, and developing relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers over the trade counter and by telephone, providing exceptional customer service and advice on suitable products.
  • Proactively chase sales opportunities, find new business, and develop relationships with trade customers.
  • Maintain a high standard of presentation within the trade counter and promote add-on items to customers.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve sales, gross margin, and other key business targets.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience working in a builders' merchants (essential).
  • Positive and friendly attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to approach customers.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Experience in developing positive relationships with trade customers.
  • Excellent IT skills.
