The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Letchworth. As a key member of our branch team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, growing branch sales and margins, and developing relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers over the trade counter and by telephone to provide exceptional customer service and promote add-on items.
  • Advise customers on the most suitable and advantageous products to use, maintaining a high standard of presentation within the trade counter.
  • Proactively chase sales opportunities, find new business, and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Assist in the company stock counts, ensuring stock levels are maintained and merchandised.
  • Build rapport, be polite, and courteous to customers, while being vigilant to prevent loss of product by theft.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience working in a builders' merchant is essential.
  • Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude, and enjoys managing a team to deliver and drive sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to approach customers.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • A professional approach and commitment to promoting and adhering to the company's culture and values.
