About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Insights Manager to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. As a key member of our Operations and Customer Service Directorate, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Analysis: Oversee and lead the analysis of data provided to the Operational Areas of the Operations and Customer Service Directorate, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of Management Information (MI) to support business needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of performance analysts to drive improvements in practice, ensure quality analysis of performance standards, and achieve business objectives and meet Key Performance Indicators.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise regularly with Senior Analytical Leaders to support the preparation and presentation of operational performance data, and build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Business Process Improvement: Continuously develop analytical knowledge and support Team Leaders in utilizing multiple sources, sharing data modeling methods and practices across departments, and implementing best practices across all capabilities identified for data analysts.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Provide clear and concise communication of key messages from analytical work to a variety of audiences, including senior colleagues.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the team to deliver key priorities, and provide leadership to all direct reports to ensure that all strategic objectives are met.
  • Business Acumen: Have a deep understanding of business operations and be able to interpret findings and draw appropriate conclusions from evidence provided.
  • Continuous Improvement: Be an advocate for change, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team, and be resilient and flexible, able to work within the demands of the role.
