About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team at BJSS, a leading technology consultancy. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data applications and systems that help our clients gain insights, drive decisions, and deliver business value.

As a DataOps advocate, you will use software engineering best practices to build data solutions that are reliable, efficient, and secure. You will work with a wide range of tools and technologies, including cloud-based data services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Kafka, Redshift, Glue, Athena, BigQuery, S3, and Cloud Data Fusion.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop scalable data applications and systems using cloud-based data services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and processes in a production-safe manner
  • Work with data services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Kafka, Redshift, Glue, Athena, BigQuery, S3, and Cloud Data Fusion
  • Develop and maintain data applications using Python and other programming languages
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data-driven solutions

**Requirements:**

  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with cloud-based data services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Kafka, Redshift, Glue, Athena, BigQuery, S3, and Cloud Data Fusion
  • Strong programming skills in Python and other languages
  • Experience with data versioning, dependency management, code quality, and optimization
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and coding best practices
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and agile development methodologies
