Regional Business Development Manager

Our client, a well-established and reputable engineering membership body, is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to lead their North American region. This exciting opportunity allows the ideal candidate to leverage their sales expertise to drive growth and expand membership within the region.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional with a strong background in sales and account management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Manage client accounts, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries promptly
- Utilize technical sales knowledge to effectively communicate the benefits of membership
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns
- Conduct outside sales visits to potential clients and represent the organization at industry events
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment
- Strong ability to analyse market data and identify key trends
- Experience in technical sales or technology sales is a plus
- Ability to manage client accounts effectively and build long-term relationships
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Benefits:
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension scheme plus additional package
- All staff are based 3 days in office, Knutsford and work 2 days home (with occasional overseas travel to attend engineering conferences and events throughout the year)
- Holidays aligned to UK hours with flexibility for non-standard working hours due to North America – USA, Canada time zones
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is £40,000 - £45,000+ per annum, depending on experience.
