Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for delivering clinical services related to immunisation in community clinic settings and schools, primarily for children of primary and secondary age groups.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality immunisation services to children, adhering to the Routine National Immunisation schedule and implementing the principles of informed consent.

Collaborate with Programme Managers, Team Leads, and Clinical Leads to ensure the smooth operation of the School Aged Immunisation Service.

Participate in clinical supervision, audits, and performance development of staff, ensuring all clinical incidents and complaints are reported and processed in line with organisational policies.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification

Essential Experience

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Working within PGD frameworks
  • Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule
  • Understanding and implementation of the principles of informed consent
  • Computer literacy
  • Cold chain, ordering, and arranging transport
