Key Responsibilities:
As an e-drive and power electronics controls engineer, you will be responsible for:
  1. Supporting the development of e-drive and power electronics control systems
  2. Capturing and analysing requirements from different stakeholders
  3. Designing control algorithms & strategies (using MATLAB/Simulink) and autocode generation of production intent code
  4. Designing system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications
  5. Development of diagnostic and safety monitoring strategies
  6. Developing validation tests for electrical test bench, HiL and vehicle
  7. Providing expertise for investigations and problem-solving activities
  8. Supporting system and hardware DFMEA and functional safety analysis
  9. Managing the technical delivery of suppliers

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic or Control System Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience working with real-time embedded control systems. They will also have knowledge of power electronics topologies and simulation techniques, as well as experience with data logging and calibration tools (INCA, CANalyzer, CANape). Direct experience within the Automotive Industry is essential. Estimated salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per year.
