About the Job

Mason James Appointments (UK) Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Lead to join their UK-based R&D team. This exciting opportunity allows the successful candidate to play a leading role in developing intelligent control systems for next-generation electrified powertrains.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-drive control software and power electronics, with proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with data logging and calibration tools is also highly desirable.

About the Role

This Senior Software Development Lead position focuses on developing, optimising, and specifying e-drive and power electronics control systems. The successful candidate will conduct testing and validation on electrical test benches, HiL, and vehicle platforms.

A key responsibility of this role is overseeing technical aspects of supplier delivery to ensure project milestones are met. The successful candidate must be able to travel periodically for development trips and supplier visits.

Key Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic, Control Systems Engineering or a related field.
  2. Highly experienced in real-time embedded control systems, ideally with automotive experience.
  3. Strong background in e-drive control software and power electronics, with proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.
  4. Experience with data logging and calibration tools.
  5. Knowledge of system engineering practices and automotive software quality standards.
Salary and Benefits
