Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Programme Advisory Lead to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our Programme Advisory UK Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading our major client engagements and driving the growth of Programme Advisory services in the Defence sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure opportunities within our existing and targeted client base, leading in the sales and delivery of Programme Advisory work in the Defence sector.
  • Lead in the development and implementation of strategic plans to grow the Programme Advisory Defence business in the UK, increasing market share and influence in the sector.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members, building trust and confidence in the organisation's ability to deliver.
  • Provide clear leadership on behalf of clients, translating into trust and confidence in the organisation's ability to deliver.
  • Effectively manage risks and maximize commercial returns, applying business acumen.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, identifying potential acquisitions and key talent to drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Graduate calibre with previous experience in consultancy sales and delivery within the UK Defence sector.
  • Skilled in client handling, relationship management, sales, solution / proposition development.
  • Skilled in shaping, mobilising and leading consultancy projects.
  • Proven experience across some or all of our major service disciplines, including:
    • Major project / programme setup and management.
    • Strategy and transformational change.
    • Organisation design and effectiveness.
    • Commercial & procurement leadership.
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills able to work and thrive in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • A natural gravitas in dealings with clients, with a 'making the difference' approach.
  • Proven experience in preparing, defining and delivering bid proposals.
