Job Description

We are seeking a Director - Programme Advisory Leader to join our Programme Advisory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our major client engagements, driving growth of Programme Advisory services in the defence sector, and influencing Turner & Townsend's strategic direction in this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure opportunities within our existing and targeted client base
  • Lead in the sales and delivery of Programme Advisory work in the defence sector
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy for Programme Advisory services in the defence sector
  • Lead a team of Programme Advisory professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure delivery of high-quality services to clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members to drive business growth and deliver client outcomes
  • Provide clear leadership on behalf of clients, translating into trust and confidence in Turner & Townsend's ability to deliver
  • Effectively manage risks and maximize commercial returns, applying business acumen

Requirements

  • Graduate calibre with previous experience in consultancy sales and delivery within the UK defence sector
  • Skilled in client handling, relationship management, sales, solution/proposition development
  • Skilled in shaping, mobilising and leading consultancy projects
  • Proven experience across some or all of our major service disciplines, including major project/programme setup and management, strategy and transformational change, organisation design and effectiveness, commercial and procurement leadership
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills able to work and thrive in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • A natural gravitas in dealings with clients, with a 'making the difference' approach
  • Proven experience in preparing, defining and delivering bid proposals
