About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Shires, part of Options Autism. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with Autism and developmental trauma, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with Autism and developmental trauma in a classroom setting
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide individualized support to students with specific needs
  • Help to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective student support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Autism and developmental trauma
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • High level of emotional intelligence
