**Job Title:** Learning Support Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at a school in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with complex needs, helping them achieve their potential and promoting their well-being in a nurturing educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
- Assist students to access the curriculum and engage in educational activities.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document students' progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Empathy and patience when working with students with complex needs.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
