Job Title: Special Education Assistant

Salary: £84-£95 per annum

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Assistant to join our team at a reputable SEND school in Shrewsbury.

  • Support students with SEND in a variety of settings, including one-to-one and small group sessions.
  • Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Help implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) or personal care plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide general support to the teacher, ensuring a productive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to develop and implement strategies to promote social and emotional growth among students.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs and promoting their overall well-being.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children through effective risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with SEND and have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting their welfare.
